This week

All nine departments are now structured and live: Plan, Stay, Districts, Things to Do, Food, Culture, Day Trips, News and About. Each one opened with two to three full guides rather than placeholders, so there's something genuinely useful to read in every section from day one.

Foundations

Behind the scenes, the site is built on a template system designed to scale to a much larger number of pages without the design or navigation breaking down — the goal is a working structure now, filled in steadily, rather than a huge amount of thin content up front.

Coming up

Next on the list: a proper hotels and stay directory, a full set of Osaka ward and suburb pages under Districts, and expanding Things to Do beyond the headline attractions into a longer list of museums, parks and neighbourhood-level spots.
