Where things stand
The Japanese version of this site, live at /ja/, currently covers a growing subset of the English content rather than the full site — every English page that has a Japanese counterpart links to it directly, and every page that doesn't yet falls back to the Japanese homepage rather than pretending a translation exists.
How translation is prioritised
Pages are translated roughly in order of how central they are to a first visit — practical planning guides and headline attractions first, more specific or niche topics later — rather than strictly in the order they were originally written in English.
What we're not claiming
This isn't presented as a polished, professionally localised Japanese site — it's a genuine, growing translation built alongside the English version, and it will contain rougher edges than the English original while it's still filling in. If something reads awkwardly, the Contact page is the way to flag it.
